FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I add a widget to my home screen? Touch and hold an empty area of your home screen until the apps jiggle, tap the "+" button in the top corner, search for "Control", choose a widget size, then tap "Add Widget". Tap the widget once to set it up.

How do I set up or edit a widget? Open the Control app and tap the card for the widget you want, or tap the widget on your home screen to jump straight to its setup screen.

My widget isn't updating. iOS controls how often widgets refresh to save battery, so changes can take a little while to appear. To force an update, open the Control app once. If it still won't update, remove the widget and add it again.

Does Control sync across my devices? Yes. Turn on iCloud Sync in Settings inside the app and your widget data will stay in sync across iPhones and iPads signed in to the same Apple ID. You may need to relaunch the app after changing this setting.

Is my data private? Your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud account. We do not collect or sell your personal information. See the in-app Privacy Policy (Settings > Privacy Policy) for full details.

What does Control Pro include, and is it a subscription? Control Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks all widgets and features, forever. It is not a subscription.

I bought Pro but it's not showing up. Make sure you're signed in with the Apple ID you used to buy it, then open Settings inside the app and tap "Restore Purchases".

A widget is asking for permission (Contacts, Health, etc.). Why? Some widgets need access to show your information (for example, the Birthdays widget can read your Contacts, and the Fitness widget reads Health data). You can change these anytime in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security. Control never shares this data.

How do I delete my data? Deleting the Control app removes its data from your device. If iCloud Sync is on, you can also remove the data from iCloud in the iOS Settings app under your name > iCloud > Manage Account Storage.
